The Exhibition

This is organised by an Exhibition Committee and held annually at the King Edward Hall in Lindfield.

Do you want to be a member?

Becoming a member is easy! Click on the contact tab in the main menu and fill out the form. Your details will then be submitted to the membership secretary who will forward you joining information via email or post if preferred.

 

We accept artists of all abilities, or even if you are just interested in watching the enjoyable demonstrations.

 

Fancy a taster? We allow visitors to attend for £2 a meeting. You can visit up to two times before becoming a member.

We meet at The Old School in Cuckfield which is next to the church. Parking is available in the village car park, or disabled parking to the rear of the church.

When do we meet?

The Demonstration run between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on a Thursday evening during term time. It is advisable to arrive ten minutes early to get a good seat.

Who runs the club?

The club is run by two committees. The general committee and the exhibition committee. Members of both committees are elected by members of the club at the Annual General Meeting in March.  

The president of the club is chosen by invitation.

The chairman of the club is elected and runs for a period of three years.

The treasurer oversees the financial affairs of the club and a non-serving member audits the accounts annually.

The programme secretarys' book the artists for the demonstrations.

Committee meetings are held 3-4 times a year.

Club Evenings

At club meetings we have a professional artists demonstrate their talents for 2 hours - or a fun "Do your own thing" evening, where members can bring their own art along to work on and socialise with other members.

A programme of demonstrations and working sessions is drawn up each term.

Art related DVD's are available for hire for 2 weeks at the cost of £1.

The club is an associate member of the Society for All Artists, giving members the opportunity of purchasing art supplies from their catalogue.

The club has an exhibiting concessions at Clair Hall. A list of dates for hanging pictures is posted on the club board at meetings. Member, Maureen Welfare can provide more information.
